heyy.. hahah, still need an ipod touch?
i hadda totem, really not what they are cut out to be. one extreme high maitnence fork, i'd know my twopsteps mission controll blew 3 days after it got replaced on warrenty, from only one month of ridding. i ride mostly on the street too, odd drops, not really FR stuff.
if you would get a 66, 66 ata. weight, adjustablity,
55 ata is perfect. it seems to have a high speed shim stack of some sort built in, becuase it never bottoms on big hits. i have it set up with little air in the ATA chamber, and alot in the PAR and its the perfect, buttery smooth FR fork. winding it down with ATA, means i have the perfect 4x machine. TST, something not found in later model 66's helps alot with pedaling. i normalyl have it set half way, so its still plush but has a nice pedalling platform. no TST = best fork evre. no fork, no matter what year even comes close. max TST is a completty different fork, its amazing. sometihng newer 66's cant do. RC3 may be nice, but with TST and a shock pump, you dont really need it. i set up the fork with mid TST for my weight, compression is set perfeclt.y take of TST and forks amazingly plush, and never bottoms. max TST ... -> best peddaling platform. another thing totems or 66's cant come near is the 55's weigtt. on my SX, i have it set up very much like my DHX which both ramp up quickly, and offer the best ride posible for FR, and the smoothest yet most efficent on the road.
pretty much.. ive ridden older marzocchi, and i havent been impressed. i must say my 07 Z1 was the shitest thing ive ever ridden next to a manipoo six six one. 08 they have step up there game
p.s. - i have 09 internals in mine, previous owner had issues with 08's leaking
- fork needs to be broken in every ride i find, probabaly from sitting in the cold of my garage. take if off a drop or to and the forks fully active and fully plush, i have truly never ridden a fork as nice.
